CLIFFORD SIMMONS, CPA/CVA
Clifford received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Rutgers Univeristy, graduating with high honors, and joined Baratz & Associates, P.A. as a staff accountant. Within five years, he was named Partner and initiated the deveopment of the firm's consulting business specializing in the health care industry.
Few CPAs are willing or able to tackle the financial complexities of the health care industry, but Clifford welcomes the opportunity -- and, he's more than up for the challenge.
His working knowledge of federal and state regulatory requirements enables him to focus on services that help doctors and hospitals adjust to the ever changing and growing demands. By continuing his education at the state and federal level, Clifford is able to stay current on healthcare laws.
As a CPA and Health Care consultant at the firm, Clifford maintains a rigorous schedule. He's also passionate about the sport of soccer. In 1996 he founded a soccer academy that has now grown to almost 300 families, where he works with young athletes teaching them life skills as well as soccer.
Clifford is a licensed CPA in the State of Nw Jersey. In addition to his CPA, he is a Certified Valuation Analyst ("CVA") and a registered representative with a FINRA Series 6 and 65 licenses. He is also much in demand as a speaker for the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Healthcare Financial Management Association, as well as hospital medical staffs and private physician groups. Cliff also meets the requirements for testifying as an expert witness in healthcare cases in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and has done so on numerous occasions.
Clifford is a non-attorney member of the American Health Lawyers Association. He is also a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, the New Jersey Society of CPAs, and the Medical Group Management Association (national and regional chapters).
